PRACTICE COURTS
No practice courts will be available at Berkeley Tennis club, except that there may be some availability beginning one hour before the first matches each day.
Chabot Recreation Center
Although no special reservations have been made for courts, up to three courts are located at Chabot Recreation Center, Oakland, CA 94618. Directions from Berkeley Tennis Club to Chabot Recreation Center
Directions from Berkeley Tennis Club to Chabot Recreation Center:
- Head east on Tunnel Road
- Turn right onto The Uplands
- Turn left to stay on The Uplands
- Continue onto Roanoke Road
- Take a sharp left onto Chabot Road - destination will be on the right
Hellman Tennis Complex at UC Berkeley
Although tournament players have no privileges to bump players from courts, there are six (6) courts located at the Hellman Tennis Complex on Frank Schlessinger Way at the UC Berkeley campus available for practice.
Directions from Berkeley Tennis Club to Hellman
- Go west on Ashby Road toward Claremont Avenue
- Turn right onto College Avenue
- Turn left onto Bancroft Way
- Turn right onto Fulton Street (becomes Oxford Street)
- Turn right onto Frank Schlessinger Way - tennis courts are on the right
A limited number of free parking spots are available on Frank Schlessinger Way. Metered parking is available near Hellman Tennis Complex on Oxford Street. Please note that many of these meters have a one-hour limit. However, other meters on the surrounding streets such as Dana, Ellsworth, Fulton, Durant, Bancroft, and Channing may allow up to two-hour parking.
