WEDNESDAY DROP-IN DOUBLES

Come join 'The Dropouts' Wednesdays from 12:30 - 2:30 for three courts of drop-in doubles. Men 4.0 and up, Women 4.5 and up. 8-game no-ad sets, with a 1-point sudden-death tiebreaker if needed.

The Club puts on several yearly tennis and entertainment events for its membership as well as the community. The planning of the entertainment committee and management with participation of volunteers produces pleasing and memorable events in which members and guests may enjoy.

The 4th of July BBQ & Swim Relay, and the Holiday Party are favorites for the younger and older members of the Club.

The Woodie Tournament is always an amusing event when players are quickly reminded about how small was the racket’s sweet spot and how challenging it was to stumble upon it.

The Maze Cup, named after former member George Maze, pits the best Juniors of Northern California against those of Southern California. It is held every year in either Southern or Northern California (every 3rd year at the BTC) and has had such greats as Pete Sampras, Lindsay Davenport and Michael Chang as players who have participated.

On an August summer night The Annual Dinner Dance comes alive in the historical Berkeley Tennis Club ballroom with live music and culinary delights for members and their guests to enjoy.

All these scheduled events and other singular ones that may arise throughout a particular year serve to strengthen the ties of the membership and add new pages to the history of the Club.
